Alejandra Villafañe, the Colombian actress and former beauty queen, died this Sunday at the age of 34. The performer fought breast cancer that she was diagnosed with in February. However, the disease spread quickly and also moved to her right ovary.

It was her romantic partner, actor Raúl Ocampo ("Café con Aroma de Mujer"), who announced the death of the performer who participated in soap operas such as "La nieta elegida," "Siempre bruja," "La ley del corazón" y "Perfil falso." He did so through a publication on his Instagram account in which he shared several images of both with an emotional caption: "I want you to know that... Forever."

Hours later, her father, Santiago Villafañe Vidal, confirmed the news. He did so through statements collected by El Heraldo de Aragón in which he confirmed that his daughter, Alejandra Villafañe, had passed away at the early age of 34 : "The best flowers, God collects quickly for his garden. Daughter, your legacy will always be in me. Thank you for being so special. I love you."

Alejandra Villafañe's illness is not something new. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in February of this year and she personally took care of recounting her battle against the disease at all times. It was she who announced that she suffered from this disease in February and, months later, in July of this year, spoke in several publications what the operation and the first chemotherapy sessions had been like.

Alejandra Villafañe's family announced, through social networks, that they would hold a tribute in honor of the actress. The meeting took place that same Sunday, between 2:00 pm and 10:00 pm (local time) in the town of Chapinero, Bogotá. It was attended by friends and family of Villafañe as well as some of his fans.
