The Senate confirmed early Friday the nomination of Donald Trump's nominee for chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Senators approved the nomination of John Dan Caine, a former National Guard member and fighter pilot, by a 60-25 vote.
With the decision, Caine replaces another Air Force fighter pilot, Gen. Charles Brown, known as CQ, whom President Trump fired in February.
