White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Wednesday during a press conference that President Joe Biden thinks MAGA "Make America Great Again" Republicans are an "extreme threat to democracy, freedom, and our rights."

"The president has been clear that he thinks there is an extremist threat to our democracy. They simply do not respect the rule of law. They have heard it from the president," said Jean-Pierre, who justified his words on the basis of what Joe Biden thinks, and gave more details about the president's objective:

"And here's the thing: the President is not going to shy away from calling attention to what he clearly sees happening in this country. And, you know, again, MAGA Republicans are this extreme part of their party, and that's just facts. And that's what he's going to continue to expose."

Accusations of "semi-fascism" against republicans

With only two months to go before the midterm elections, the Press Secretary's remarks about Republicans are consistent with polarizing language President Biden used last week, buying Republicans with "semi-fascism."

"What we are seeing now is the beginning or the death knell of an extreme MAGA philosophy. It's not just Trump, it's the whole philosophy behind it.... I'm going to say something, it's like semi-fascism," Biden said during a donor event in Bethesda, Maryland, last Thursday.
