DeSantis suspends Soros prosecutor after declaring he will not comply with abortion laws
Florida's governor had announced that he would adopt a measure that will "collapse" the progressive media.
Ron DeSantis has immediately suspended State Attorney Andrew Warren. Warren, funded by George Soros, had signed a letter proclaiming that he would not enforce abortion and child sex change laws.
The governor has stated, in a press release, that "State Attorneys have a duty to prosecute crimes as defined in Florida law, not to pick and choose which laws to enforce based on his personal agenda". Accordingly, he believes that "It is my duty to hold Florida’s elected officials to the highest standards for the people of Florida".
Respect for the law
Ron DeSantis has appointed Susan Lopez, who until now has served as a judge in the Hillsborough County Courthouse, to take his place. "I have the utmost confidence that Judge Susan Lopez will lead the office through this transition and faithfully uphold the rule of law," said the Florida Governor.
In fact, and in the same vein, Susan Lopez has stated, "I have the utmost respect for our state laws and I understand the important role that the State Attorney plays in ensuring the safety of our community and the enforcement of our laws". Lopez thanked the Governor "for placing his trust in me, and I promise that I will faithfully execute the duties of this office".
