No to Kings, Yes to Tyrants: The comedy of errors and violence of the 'No Kings' movement

It's fascinating to see so many Americans turn out en masse to be handed packaged, ambiguous and largely destructive slogans. And it is that the senior faction of the Democratic Party has become a veritable apocalyptic cult, unlike its junior faction, which simply seems to be pursuing global jihad.

For the third time since some nostalgic Soviet propaganda nerd came up with the idea, zombies took to the streets this Saturday, March 28, on the occasion of the "No Kings" march. They marched meekly with their pre-printed signs, led by the noses of their masters in a supposedly epic struggle against "tyranny." The organizers, multimillion-dollar coalitions like Indivisible and 50501, boast of having mobilized 8 million people at more than 3,000 rallies across the country. A choreographed figure that surpasses the 7 million from their previous rehearsal in October 2025.

It's fascinating to see so many Americans turn out en masse to be handed packaged, ambiguous and largely destructive slogans. And it is that the senior faction of the Democratic Party has become a veritable apocalyptic cult, unlike its junior faction, which simply seems to be pursuing global jihad.

The common factor in this circus is the billionaire leaders of the party that claims to represent the people, people like the flame-retardant Bernie Sanders. There is a Sanders for all audiences, which allows him to remain relevant at the expense of this sleepwalking. At the main rally in St. Paul, Minnesota the socialist looked out at the crowd and sentenced: "When historians write about this dangerous moment in American history, when they write about courage and sacrifice, the people of Minnesota will deserve a special chapter."

Courage and sacrifice? They didn't even have to paint their own signs! Sanders preached against "oligarchy" at an event funded, ironically, by an oligarchy of NGOs that dictate to the populace when and what to complain about. It's revolution with VIP passes.

The "No Kings" rally was full of people who believe in defeating those who pose the greatest threat to our country. But oddly enough, and just like last year's protests, this third coordinated installment, "No Kings III," provided the violent with the perfect excuse to unleash their most anti-American impulses. And this weekend's statistics show that the trend is dramatically accentuating.

The "peaceful resistance" left scenes of methodical chaos. In Los Angeles, the protest turned into a brawl that left an official record 74 arrested (including minors) after protesters attacked authorities with cinder blocks in front of the Metropolitan Detention Center, sending two federal agents to the hospital. Law enforcement responded with tear gas, but "spontaneous" rioters were paradoxically ready with shields and masks, picking up the gas canisters and handing them back to the police. All this while a group, waving Palestinian flags, kicked at the federal fences in unison.

The script was repeated in other cities. In Portland, Oregon, rioters wearing identical uniforms and masks to conceal their identity turned the event into an orgy of vandalism. In Denver, riot control forces had to use pepper spray when shock groups tried to cut off a highway.

Unfortunately, Americans are getting used to this political street violence, and, if these scenes become the norm, the violent and their masters are going to escalate the riots even more for their successive editions.

These forced street wars are the framework for a slogan of immoral and absurd ridiculousness. The left demonstrates demanding the end of the monarchy while claiming to represent "the power of the people," although they are unwilling to accept what the ballot box says. They do not defend democracy; they protest against it.

Ironies abound. Donald Trump is not a king, he is a democratically elected president who obeys (and legally appeals when he can) every court order blocking his government. If he were what the "No Kings" zombies say he is, he wouldn't be dealing with legislative roadblocks; rollbacks on his rollback plans; and endless court battles. He would simply rule by decree.

While the word "democracy" is always in the mouths of these sleepwalkers, submission to anti-democratic regimes eternally inhabits their slogans. Trump was elected because he promised to close the sieve of crime that the borders became during the Biden Administration, to expel illegal immigrants (a promise that is widely supported by the vast majority of law-abiding citizens), and to draw a line under the DEI tyranny that was destroying civic coexistence. This is what the voters asked of him and it is what the pathetic mob of "No Kings" does not want to accept.

These attempts to destroy the democratically elected government by accepting funding from America's bitterest enemies should have the courage to come clean. It is not the kings they oppose; it is the rules of democracy when they do not favor them and anything that does not align with their progressive dogma.

From now on, their pre-printed banners should be more honest and say "No kings, we prefer tyrants."
