Guillermo del Toro, Ana de Armas and 'Argentina, 1985' among the nominees for the Oscars 2023
The 95th edition, hosted by comedian Jimmy Kimmel, will take place on March 12 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
The Oscars gala today revealed its nominees. Riz Ahmed and the star of M3gan, this month's top-grossing horror film, and Allison Williams, were in charge of announcing the nominees of this 95th edition in the 23 categories that reward the best of last year's cinema.
The announcement of the films eligible to win in the various categories of the film ceremony, unveiled exclusively on ABC's Good Morning America, Disney Plus and the official Oscars channels, took place at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles. The films that start as favorites, among the 301 feature films that could be nominated, are Everything Everywhere All at Once and The Banshees of Inisherin with, respectively, 11 and 9 nominations.
Hispanics were not left empty-handed. Guillermo del Toro, Ana de Armas and Argentina, 1985 are nominated in different catagories and could win Best Animated Feature, Best Actress and Best International Film, respectively.
