The New York Stock Exchange opened Monday with losses, weighed down by Moody's downgrade of the U.S. debt rating and the existing uncertainty due to the trade war.

Specifically, at the start of the day, the three main indexes plunged: the Dow Jones by 0.6%, the S&P 500 by 1% and the Nasdaq by 1.3%.

Last Friday, as the New York Stock Exchange closed, Moody's Ratings downgraded the government's credit rating, meaning the probability that it will pay its debt, and from "triple A" to "double A."

At the moment, the country's debt is above $36 billion.
