Actress Drew Barrymore is at the center of controversy. The actress recently decided to resume "The Drew Barrymore Show" angering writers who work on the show, as well as the entire Writers Guild of America that has been on strike since May in search of better working and economic conditions:

The WGA is against Drew Barrymore's decision
The consequences of her decision were not long in coming. The first to speak out against her decision was the Writers Guild of America (WGA). Although Barrymore claimed that she complied with all the mandates of the writers' strike, the WGA denied this claim:
The @DrewBarrymoreTV Show is a WGA covered, struck show that is planning to return without its writers. The Guild has, and will continue to, picket struck shows that are in production during the strike. Any writing on “The Drew Barrymore Show” is in violation of WGA strike rules.

National Book Foundation drops Barrymore
The WGA is not the only one against the decision. On Tuesday, The National Book Foundation rescinded Drew Barrymore's invitation to host The National Book Awards. The organization announced its decision in a recent statement:

Meanwhile, Barrymore is adamant that the fourth season of "The Drew Barrymore Show" will premiere next Monday, September 18. It will be broadcast by CBS. Wendy McMahon, president and CEO of CBS News and Stations and CBS Media Ventures, told CNN:
