French champions Paris Saint-Germain defeated Real Sociedad of Spain 2-0 at home Wednesday in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League. The opening match for Bayern Munich was not ideal for the German champions, losing 1-0 to Italian side Lazio in Rome.
The Bavarian giant is the first favorite to slip in this round, after Real Madrid and Manchester City won their respective visits to RB Leipzig (1-0) and Copenhagen (3-1) on Tuesday.
At the Parque de los Príncipes, Real Sociedad held firm for almost an hour, until Kylian Mbappé scored the first goal for PSG. Bradley Barcola scored the second and final goal for the french side.

In the other round of 16 match played Wednesday, Bayern Munich was defeated 1-0 in Rome against Lazio. Ciro Immobile scored a penalty for the Italian team in the 69th minute.
