Venezuelan businessman Gustavo Cisneros (78) died this Friday. It was confirmed by Cisneros Media's official X (Twitter) account, which described him as "a visionary leader whose influence extended far beyond the confines of the business realm, noted for his strategic foresight and commitment to innovation."
"Gustavo Cisneros was renowned for crafting a sustainable legacy and particularly distinguished himself through the international expansion of the family business ventures, as well as spearheading the entertainment industry across Latin America and the US Hispanic market," said in a statement from the American-Venezuelan entertainment company he founded.

Among the media businesses of the Cisneros enterprise are the production company Cisneros Studios, the television station Venevisión and DIRECTV Latin America. He also dedicated himself to other branches of business, such as the Miss Venezuela contest or the real estate company Cisneros Real Estate, and financed social programs.
