Sandra Bullock's partner Bryan Randall dies at age 57

The professional photographer had been battling a degenerative disease for years.

Bryan Randall, professional photographer and partner of actress Sandra Bullock, passed away last Saturday at the age of 57. Randall suffered from a degenerative disease. Through a statement, the family of the deceased announced his death on Monday.

Randall's family chose People magazine to convey their statement. The photographer had been in a low-key relationship with actress Sandra Bullock. They met in 2015 and first appeared together at Jennifer Aniston's wedding to Justin Theroux.

It is with great sadness that we share that on Aug. 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS. Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request. We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours. At this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan.

On the occasion of Bryan Randall's death, his family asked those interested to make donations to the ALS Association and Massachusetts General Hospital. Actress Sandra Bullock, to whom he was not married, has made no public comment or appearance.

Despite not having married, the couple raised three children from their previous relationships and adoption.
