Netflix is once again taking heat for its children's content. This time, for episode 8 of the first season of CoComelon Lane, where a child can be seen dressed in a tutu and a tiara while his parents, a homosexual couple, sing to him: "Just be you."

After the clip of the episode reached social media, subscribers began to criticize the company and even called for a boycott. Or, as conservative commentator Matt Walsh called it, "the full Bud Light treatment," in reference to the campaign against the beverage company after its association with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Ben Shapiro, founder of the conservative newspaper The Daily Wire, joined the boycott call, asking parents to "stop letting Hollywood indoctrinate your kids in gender garbage."

Inez Stepman, the political analyst at the Independent Women's Forum, commented that "even aside from the gay and transgender stuff in this, 'just be you' is terrible advice to a toddler". "The you most of us are at age 2 is the you that screams for ice cream."

Netflix faced similar campaigns for content such as the children's series Ridley Jones, the Museum Keeper, which featured a non-binary bison, and the film Cleopatra, starring a black actress.
The subscribers' attempt to punish content companies, or companies that provide services of all kinds, for aligning with the woke ideology - the so-called go woke, go broke- has been a growing trend in 2023 that has produced losses and changes of direction in companies as large as Disney and Target.
