After the recent announcement that Eddie Murphy will return to his role as Axel Foley, Netflix has just unveiled the first teaser trailer for the upcoming movie "Beverly Hill Cops: Axel F."
The fourth movie in this saga will be released on the streaming platform in summer 2024 and, once again, it will feature actor Eddie Murphy as police officer Axel Foley. He played this role in 1984, 1987 and 1994, the year the last movie was released. It is making a comeback thirty years later.
According to entertainment magazine Empire, Eddie Murphy is not the only actor who will be back. Fans will also see Judge Reinhol, Paul Reiser and Bronson Pinchot. They will return to their roles as Detective Sergeant William "Billy" Rosewood, Detective Jeffrey Friedman and Serge. The new movie will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
Bruckheimer spoke exclusively to the magazine, promising "a prime performance from Murphy" in the new Netflix movie: "Anytime he walks on set, you never know what you’re going to get. And it’s always pretty brilliant. Every day he’s there throws you back to the ‘80s," Bruckheimer said.
