Hunter Biden’s former business partner Devon Archer testified before the House Oversight Committee that President Joe Biden was not only aware of his son’s business dealings but took part in more than two dozen meetings between Hunter and his foreign business partners.
This Monday, Hunter Biden’s former business partner spent several hours in a closed-door interview with the House committee to testify about the Biden family’s business dealings. During that time, Archer said that Hunter Biden was added to the board of Burisma, the Ukrainian gas company, because of the value of adding the son of then-Vice President Joe Biden. Archer acknowledged that the Ukrainian company “would have gone out of business” had they not added “the Biden brand.”
According to the communiqué of the Oversight Committee, Hunter’s former partner exposed that Joe Biden was either in person or on speaker phone at more than 20 business meetings of his son with foreign business partners, including a dinner in Paris with a French energy company and another meeting in China with Jonathan Li, CEO of BHR Partners, a state-owned company.
“Archer acknowledged that then-Vice President Biden had coffee with Jonathan Li, the CEO of BHR, in Beijing. Then-Vice President Biden even wrote a letter of recommendation for college for Li’s daughter,” the committee’s statement said. Joe Biden also reportedly attended a business dinner between his son and Elena Baturina, a Russian oligarch who is the widow of the former Moscow mayor.

“Joe Biden lied to the American people”
Following the remarks by Hunter Biden’s former business partner, Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) said the interview was extremely productive for the investigation and noted that it exposed the president.
“Devon Archer’s testimony today confirms Joe Biden lied to the American people when he said he had no knowledge about his son’s business dealings and was not involved. Joe Biden was ‘the brand’ that his son sold around the world to enrich the Biden family,” he said, noting that all this new information “begs the question of what else he is hiding from the American people.” Comer assured that he would continue to investigate and interview witnesses.
