Actor Treat Williams died Monday at the age of 71. According to his representative, Williams was killed in a motorcycle accident in Vermont. The actor was known for his roles in Hair and Everwood. In his 50-year career, he participated in around 130 film shoots.
According to the Vermont State Police, the accident occurred on VT Route 30. Williams was riding a custom-style motorcycle when he collided head-on with an SUV making a left turn into a parking lot. The crash was fatal to Williams, who was airlifted to a New Jersey hospital but died later.

"I'm devastated. He was the nicest guy. He was so talented," said his manager, Barry McPherson, when he broke the news of Williams' death to the media.
"He was an actor's actor. The filmmakers loved him. He's been the heart of Hollywood since the late '70s," McPherson added in remarks reported by People magazine. "I was very proud of his performance this year. He's been very happy with the work I've gotten him. He's had a balanced race."
Williams is remembered for his performances in Once Upon a Time in America (1984); Resurrection - Dead Heat (1988); Unfinished Business Before I Die (1995) and Living Water (1998).
