Georgia mass shooting suspect killed 4 people and is on the run

Authorities are offering a $10,000 reward to anyone who can provide information on the shooter's location.

At least four people were killed Saturday morning in a mass shooting in a small town south of Atlanta, Georgia. Authorities have identified the suspect but are still searching him.

According to reports, the shooting began around 10:45 a.m. in the Dogwood Lakes area of Hampton and took the lives of three men and one woman. However, the names and other details of the victims have not yet been released.

"We're not releasing the name of the victims at this time to ensure that the family has time to be notified and to for them to grieve in private before it becomes public," explained local police Chief James Turner.

What authorities did advance is that a suspect has already been identified; his name is Andre Longmore, and he is 40 years old. Reports indicate that the alleged shooter was last seen in a black 2017 GMC Acadia SUV.

Authorities reported that they already have four warrants for Longmore's arrest and that a $10,000 reward is being offered to anyone who can provide relevant details about the man's location.

However, police stressed that this is an armed and dangerous man and urged anyone who sees him to contact the authorities immediately.

"We will do everything in our power to ensure that the person is brought to justice," Turner said, assuring that they will continue to search for the man until they have him in custody.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and other Atlanta law enforcement agencies are participating in the case's prosecution and investigation.
