Lunacy in Canada: Male lawmakers raise awareness for violence against women by taking a stand in high heels

Canada's progressive government never ceases to amaze. In addition to its proposed measures for assisted suicide for minors being disguised as a social initiative, it has taken a performative stance in defense of women.

On this occasion it was Omar Alghabra, Canada's minister of transport, who promoted the Hope in Heels initiative, which is supposed to raise awareness about violence against women. They do so by stepping into high heels and strolling through the halls of the Canadian Parliament.

As seen in the video, the legislators put on a curious performance and walk around Parliament in pink high heels, performing ridiculous movements that do little or nothing to represent women. Criticism on social media was not long in coming.
