White House launches ‘Trump TV’ to continuously broadcast president's messages, speeches

The White House launched its own online communication platform called "Trump TV,” a digital channel designed to continuously broadcast speeches, official announcements and highlights from President Donald Trump's administration.

The initiative aims to establish a direct line of communication with citizens without the mediation of traditional media.

Through its official social media channels, the White House confirmed the start of live broadcasts. "TRUMP TV IS BROADCASTING NOW. 24/7, updated in real time, with the best moments from the past, announcements, and the latest and greatest from the administration—all in one place," the White House announced on its digital communication platforms.

Media boycott and tension with the traditional press

The channel's launch comes amid open confrontation between the administration and major media conglomerates. After the president restricted access to the White House for reporters from CNN, MS NOW and Politico, the affected media outlets filed a federal lawsuit challenging the executive decision.

In response to the ban, the nation's major television networks — CBS, ABC, NBC and Fox — announced on Monday that they will cease to jointly cover the president's public events through the usual media pool.

The New York Times joined this boycott, reporting that it will not publish or distribute photographs taken by the White House photo team, noting that "Americans deserve a free and independent press that covers their government without intimidation."

The administration's claim regarding a lack of objectivity

In response to the lawsuit filed by the restricted networks, Trump spoke out via Truth Social, anticipating that Federal Judge Tim Kelly — who will preside over the case — might rule in favor of the media, in which case his legal team will appeal the decision.

"Access to the most important office in the world should not be granted to individuals and fake news outlets that only write negative things and undermine our national security by publishing false and defamatory stories based on unknown 'sources,'" the president stated in his message.

Trump questioned the coverage he receives from the major media conglomerates, noting that "virtually all news about me, or anything related to me, is negative, erroneous, and, in many cases, DANGEROUS for our country!"

In this regard, he defended the need for "Trump TV" as a transparent news outlet that would allow the administration's achievements to be communicated directly to the public.
