The Miami Marlins beat the Atlanta Braves 4-2 on Friday at Depot Park (Miami). In addition, Dominican Agustin Ramirez had a stellar day with four RBIs and his 11th home run of the season.
It's the 30th win of the season for the Marlins, who took a four-run lead from the third inning onward.
Ramirez, 23, who is in his first major league season, has become one of the pleasant surprises for the Florida team which is in last place in its division.
For the Braves, Venezuelan Ronald Acuña Jr. connected two outs in four at-bats.
In another game, Cuban Adolis Garcia hit his ninth home run of the season in the Pittsburgh Pirates' 6-2 win against the Texas Rangers.
Garcia, 32, has a .370 average over the last seven games with 10 hits in his last 27 at-bats.
The Rangers improved their record to 37 wins and 39 losses.
On the other hand, the Seattle Mariners managed to rally after being down by two runs in the first inning and beat the Chicago Cubs 9-4.
Venezuelan Eduard Bazardo (2-0) was put in and after pitching one inning without giving up any hits, he picked up his second win of the season.
Tonight’s performance marked Bazardo’s seventh consecutive appearance without allowing a run.
The Baltimore Orioles bounced back after two consecutive losses and beat the New York Yankees 5-3.
Mexican Ramón Urías hit his fifth home run of the season, reaching 24 RBIs on the season and 195 in his major league career since 2020.
Dominican Felix Bautista added his 16th save of the season with a runless ninth inning and two strikeouts.

The San Diego Padres opted to appeal the disciplinary committee's decision and the suspension will not go into effect until the process is finalized.
