One of the leaders of Die Linke, the far-left party in Germany, denounced the alleged threats she has been receiving after claiming that her party is being controlled by Hamas.

Elif Eralp, head of Die Linke in Berlin, stated that she fears for her life and for that of her husband and two children after notes she had written were leaked, revealing her party's alleged ties to the terrorist organization and other Palestinian criminal groups.

Last Monday, the German magazine Der Spiegel conducted an interview with Eralp to address key issues in current politics. During the meeting, sensitive topics were discussed, such as the ongoing negotiations to form a government and the controversial connections of certain members of Die Linke with pro-Palestinian activists.

The magazine sent the transcript of the interview to Eralp's team. The purpose of this step was to allow them to carefully review her official statements before proceeding with the final publication of the article.

However, the surprise came on Wednesday when the journalists received the revised document. Upon examining the corrected text, the magazine's team discovered that notes and comments of a strictly private nature written by Eralp herself.

Among the notes leaked in the document were remarks regarding Ibrahim Ibrahim, who maintains ties with several party members Die Linke and who had praised Yahya Sinwar, a leading figure in Hamas and identified as one of the ideologues behind the Oct. 7 attacks.

Eralp has stated that she fears for her life and the lives of her loved ones because she mentioned specific names, such as Ibrahim's, in her notes.
