Eight illegal immigrants with criminal records -including two Cubans and one Mexican- were deported by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to South Sudan, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported.

"After weeks of delays by activist judges that put our law enforcement in danger, ICE deported these 8 barbaric criminal illegal aliens who are so heinous even their own countries will not accept them," DHS reported on its X profile.

"This was a win for the rule of law, safety and security of the American people. We thank our brave ICE law enforcement for their sacrifice to defend our freedoms," the department added.

Only one of the deportees is from South Sudan. The others are from Cuba, Mexico, Burma, Vietnam, and Laos. They have been convicted of crimes including murder, drug trafficking, illegal weapons possession, and robbery.

This deportation operation was carried out after the Supreme Court approved the removal of these eight illegal immigrants with criminal records. The decision came in response to an emergency request from the Trump administration and followed a broader ruling allowing deportations to third countries where the migrants have no ties.
