A shooting at Tuskegee University in Alabama has left at least one person dead and several injured, although the number has not been specified. For the moment, no suspects have been arrested.
"Several others including Tuskegee University students were injured and are receiving treatment at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika and Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery," the university reported, before confirming the only fatality so far.
Authorities have already secured the facilities and their surroundings while they are investigating the incident and trying to find a suspect.
The shooting occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, after the university's 100th homecoming celebration.
