"Planned Parenthood not only gets a lot of money from the government, but they give a lot of money to politicians"

On Voz News, executive producer Karina Yapor interviewed constitutional lawyer Gualberto García-Jones about the latest report published by Planned Parenthood, which detailed that 402,230 abortions were performed in the United States during all of 2024, showing the delicate situation that the country is experiencing on this issue. In the interview, both talked about the challenges that such context represents for the Administration of U.S. President Donald Trump, and what would be the right steps to take.

"Planned Parenthood has a tremendous amount of political power, they get all this taxpayer money, but they're also one of the companies that spends the most money on political lobbying. During the Biden Administration, a lot of the staff of the Department of Health came directly from Planned Parenthood, that is, they are an organization that not only receives a lot of money from the government, but they give a lot of money to politicians, so they are a tough nut to crack and the truth is that it is time for the Republicans to get a little bit tougher on this issue," Garcia-Jones pointed out.
