Stephen Bannon, former adviser to Donald Trump, was released from a low-security federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut. The event occurred early Tuesday morning and was greeted by his daughter Maureen.
"I’m not broken, I’m empowered," Bannon said in an interview picked up by The New York Times shortly after his release at 3:15 am.
Various media outlets explained that Bannon is likely to participate in a radio show later Tuesday. In addition to other events he has planned.
"To mark his release, Bannon’s team said he plans to hold a press conference Tuesday afternoon in New York," highlighted CNN.

Bannon entered prison in July 2022 after being sentenced to four months for contempt of Congress. He was scheduled to testify before the House committee investigating what happened on Jan. 6, 2021, and did not appear.
When questioned by the media about whether he believed it was worth going to prison for not testifying before Congress, he assured "1,000 percent."
"If you’re not prepared to go to prison to fight for your country, you’re not prepared to fight for your country," the political adviser maintained.
