Republican primary candidate Nikki Haley, said during an interview on FOX News, that if she becomes president of the United States, she will demand that social media platforms remove all existing anonymous profiles. As she explained, she would do so since for her an unidentified account represents "a national security threat":

Not only that, just before showing her concern about anonymous profiles, Haley assured that one of her first actions upon reaching the White House will consist of forcing the different platforms to "show America their algorithms."

The reactions to Nikki Haley's words did not take long to arrive. The most critical of her were two of her rivals in the Republican primaries, Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy.
