Ted Cruz’s shocking prediction: Democrats will ‘jettison’ Biden and ‘parachute in’ Michelle Obama
"I do think Barack Obama is already running the Biden administration. I think he is already the puppet master behind this Biden White House."
The 2024 presidential elections are approaching. Although powerful figures in the Democratic Party insist that Joe Biden will be the nominee, the president's repeated gaffes, which are already raising suspicions even about possible dementia, have added to Americans’ doubts about the economy and security matters. These concerns are reflected in low approval ratings and increasingly open the possibility of a different candidate stepping up for the Democrats. Republican Senator Ted Cruz made a prediction that got both parties thinking: Democrats are going to "jettison Joe Biden and parachute in Michelle Obama."
Michelle Obama, the wife of former President Barack Obama, has very high popularity. Some 98% of Americans have heard about her, and she has a favorability rating of 61%. Senator Cruz says Michelle Obama's candidacy is the "most likely and most dangerous" scenario for the country. He not only refers to the former first lady’s high approval and likelihood of success, but also to the path the country would take.
"That ought to scare the hell out of anyone who is unhappy in the direction this country is going and doesn't want us to go even crazier in an even worse direction," Cruz said.
He stated that the Democratic Party has several reasons to see her as its salvation. Cruz believes that by nominating Michelle Obama, the party is giving a nod to African-American women, who are a critical part of the Democratic voter base. Above all, the senator believes that this is a solution to unify Democrats and not pit the candidates against each other, while the nomination would be presented with the narrative that it would actually be Obama saving the party.
Regarding the role of the former Democratic president, Senator Cruz made another statement that caused a stir on social media: "I do think Barack Obama is already running the Biden administration. I think he is already the puppet master behind this Biden White House. I don't think Joe Biden is the decision-maker."
Senator Cruz's predictions are especially relevant amidst an a voter base that is increasingly opposed to President Biden. This weekend, a Washington Post ABC News poll was published that projects Trump with a nine-point victory over Biden in the 2024 presidential election. Only 37% of Americans approve of Biden's performance as president, with the economy and immigration being the issues that cause the most doubt among voters. Only 22% approve of Biden's management of immigration matters.
