DOJ charges Antifa couple in explosives attack on Michael Knowles talk in Pittsburgh

The events occurred in April, when hordes of trans and left-wing activists sought to sabotage an event by the conservative commentator at the University of Pittsburgh.

An Antifa couple was charged in connection with events that occurred in April in the city of Pittsburgh. According to the indictment, Brian DiPippa and his wife Krystal DiPippa face federal charges of unlawful association and obstructing law enforcement during a civil disturbance. These Antifa members carried out an explosives attack on a Michael Knowles event at the University of Pittsburgh.

According to the indictment, the DiPippas were participating in a demonstration in front of the O'Hara Student Center at the University of Pittsburgh. At the time, conservative commentator Michael Knowles was to give a talk along with the Daily Wire team, the reason for the protest by several anti-fascist groups in front of the student center.

According to the indictment, the DiPippas then threw two homemade smoke bombs at the large group of people waiting to gain access to the auditorium. Shortly thereafter, when police intervened to create a barrier between the event attendees and the Antifa militants, Brian DiPippa, under cover of his wife, ignited and threw a large explosive pyrotechnic device at the group of police officers, causing a loud explosion and injuring several officers.

The charges against the violent Antifa couple are punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment, a fine of $500,000 or both. For the husband, who was the one who ignited and threw the explosive device against the policemen, the mandatory minimum sentence is 10 years in prison.
