Joe Biden is the U.S. president with the lowest approval rating in the last 75 years. That is according to a poll released Monday by FiveThirtyEight, which measured the last 18 months he has been in office.
FiveThirtyEigh reports that Biden's approval rating, which has fallen to 38.4%, is historically lower than any other U.S. president, except Harry Truman in his second year in office. Truman's approval rating was 33% in 1946, 18 months into his term.
Another New York Times/Siena College poll finds that only 33% of voters overall approve of President Joe Biden's performance. Within their own party, 94% of those under 30 said they would prefer a different presidential candidate for another term. On the whole, 64% of Democratic voters said they would prefer someone else to head the national ticket in the next presidential election, the newspaper reported Monday.
Bidenomics
"Widespread concerns about the economy and inflation have contributed to a decidedly somber national mood, both about Mr. Biden and about the nation's trajectory," the Times wrote. Bidenomics is sinking the country, the president's popularity, and the Democratic Party's chances of electoral success.
Nevertheless, the president has expressed his intention to govern for a second term. But he really has it tough: not only is he one of the oldest presidents to occupy the White House, he is also one of the most unpopular of all time, despite having won more votes than any other U.S. presidential candidate.
"More than three-quarters of registered voters see America moving in the wrong direction, a pervasive sense of pessimism that spans all corners of the country, all age ranges and racial groups, cities, suburbs and rural areas, as well as both political parties," revealed the New York Times/Siena College.
Other surveys
The poll prepared jointly by Harvard University's Center for Policy Studies and The Harris Poll emphasizes that 7 out of 10 Americans do not approve of Biden's performance; the survey was released earlier this month. In addition, other measurements reveal dissatisfaction: only 24% of Hispanic voters approve of the job of the current president of the United States. The Rasmussen Reports has published a Tweet referring to the low support that Joe Biden has among the black population.

Moreover, Real Clear Politics claims in its most recent poll that Biden's job approval rating reaches an all-time low in the polling average, putting it below 38% for the first time.

The electoral outlook for 2024 in the United States is uncertain in a country that is being hit by inflation and serious security problems with recent public shootings and popular riots. Former President Donald Trump appears on the horizon. He is seen as a possible strong contender against the Democratic Party.
