Taylor Swift has set a new record. She has the most number one albums of any woman in history. The singer, who just released "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)," has had several of her albums reach the top spot on the Billboard 200. Along with the pop and country singer's new album, three more albums are still on the popular chart: "Midnights" (number five), "Lover" (seven) and "Folklore" (10).

Swift now has 12 albums that have achieved this recognition. It is precisely the same number of albums as Drake, who also has 12 such albums to his credit. Both are surpassed by Jay-Z, who has 14 albums in the top spot, and the Beatles, who have a total of 19 albums that topped the chart. Taylor Swift thus surpasses Barbra Streisand, the previous woman with the most number one records in history, with 11.
That's not the only milestone "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" has achieved since its release. The album became the biggest of the year so far, selling 716,000 equivalent album units, according to Billboard. Of these albums, 506,600 were purchased traditionally, with 410,000 being acquired through physical sales and another 96,600 being purchased on digital platforms. This figure caused Taylor Swift to snatch the top spot from country singer Morgan Wallen, whose album "One Thing at a Time" sold a total of 501,000 copies during its first week.
This is good news for the singer who is currently on tour. Her Eras Tour, which will run until 2024, continues to stop across the nation. In addition, Swift recently expanded her dates to include several countries in Europe and South America, delighting her worldwide fans, known as "Swifties."
