State buildings in Mississippi, Arkansas and Florida received new bomb threats Thursday, just one day after several state capitols, including Mississippi's, were evacuated for the same reason.
In Mississippi, the state Department of Public Safety alerted on X (formerly Twitter) that a new round of threats had forced state authorities to increase security measures:
Multiple threats have been received across the state.
Precautionary measures are being taken at all locations.

Arkansas and Florida, also victims of fake bomb threats
In Arkansas, a State Capitol Police spokesman told NBC that the Pulaski County Courthouse in Little Rock was forced to evacuate after receiving a bomb threat.
As reported by Matt Campbell, a reporter for Arkansas Time, the event delayed a scheduled Board of Corrections hearing against Sarah Sanders that resumed an hour later when explosives experts declared the site safe:
Building evacuated, everyone outside and across the street. Not exactly chaos, but definitely a lot of WTF? milling about.

Finally, the latest threat was received by the Fifth District Court of Appeal in Daytona Beach, Fla. As reported by Spectrum News, in this case, the alert came via email, and Daytona Beach police decided to inform state and federal anuthorities about the incident.
After a brief search conducted by authorities at the 300 Beach Street building, the alert was deactivated and activity in the building was resumed. Authorities in all of these southern states continue to investigate these alerts as they increase security measures.
