The New York Police are searching for a nine-year-old girl who was kidnapped Saturday night while camping with her family. The authorities issued an "Amber Alert" detailing that the minor could be in danger.
Police reported that the kidnapping occurred near Moreau Lake State Park, Loop A. "The New York State Police has activated the New York State AMBER Alert and is investigating a child abduction that occurred near Moreau Lake State Park, Loop A, Site 18, in Gansevoort, NY at about 6:45 PM on 9/30/2023," the police said.

"As a mother and grandmother, I can't imagine the pain they are going through."
The girl was identified as Charlotte E. Sena. "The girl was abducted under circumstances that lead police to believe she is in imminent danger of serious harm and/or death," explained the alert issued by the state police.
The CHILD, Charlotte E. Sena is a White female, approximately 9 years 1 month old with long, blonde hair and green eyes. She is approximately 4 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 90 pounds. Charlotte was last seen wearing Orange tie-dye Pokemon shirt, dark blue pants, black crocs, gray bike helmet.
Governor Kathy Hochul reported that she met with the girl's parents. In addition, she highlighted that more than 100 people and 75 law enforcement officers have been deployed in the search , which also includes dogs, two drones, two boats and six underwater rescue teams.
"As a mother and as a grandmother, I cannot imagine the pain they're going through. They shared with me how joyful their little girl is, a fourth grader just recently elected to be a class officer for student council," said Governor Hochul in a statement collected by NBC.
Hopefully there will be a reunion. Hopefully, there will be a family that has been traumatized but reunited.
