Leo Messi is leaving Paris Saint-Germain

PSG coach Christopher Galtier announced that the player will play his last game for the French team on Saturday.

Leo Messi is officially leaving Paris Saint-Germain. The team's coach, Christophe Galtier, announced that the Argentinian player will play his last game this Saturday: "I had the privilege of coaching the best player in the history of soccer. This will be his last match at the Parc des Princes, and I hope that he will receive the warmest of welcomes," he said.

Messi joined PSG in August 2021 and, after two seasons on the French team, his contract will expire in June. His time at Paris Saint-Germain was bittersweet. He joined with the hope of winning the Champions League but failed to adapt to the Parisian team. Last season, Galtier said, he stood out and he played much better: "This year, he has been an important part of the team, always available, always committed during training sessions. I don’t think any of the comments or criticisms are justified."

After he finishes his contract, rumors suggest that Messi might return to FC Barcelona or embark on an adventure in North American or Saudi Arabian soccer.
