House Republicans subpoena Lesley Wolf, the DOJ prosecutor who tried to protect Biden during the federal investigation about Hunter

IRS whistleblowers had accused the official of boycotting investigations against the presidential family.

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee issued a subpoena against top official Lesley Wolf, the Justice Department prosecutor who allegedly tried to protect President Joe Biden during the federal investigation into Hunter.

The subpoena orders Deputy District Attorney Lesley Wolf to appear before the Judiciary Committee next December 7 at 10 am ET at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, DC.

Months ago, it had been revealed that Wolf tried to “protect” Biden from certain questions, inquiries and search warrants related to the tax investigation against Hunter, according to IRS agents who worked on the investigations against the president’s son.

According to Gary Shapley Jr., an IRS whistleblower who oversaw the investigation against Hunter, Lesley Wolf made decisions at every stage of the investigation that “had the effect of benefiting” the president’s son.

The IRS whistleblower launched harsh criticism against Lesley and the Department of Justice, calling into question the legitimacy of the investigation against Hunter Biden. Particularly, Shapley said Wolf took pains to “limit” questions related to President Biden and apparent references to the president himself as “Dad” or “the big guy” in emails found on the missing computer belonging to Hunter.

Likewise, in October 2020, according to Shapley’s testimony, Wolf herself reviewed an affidavit for a search warrant against Hunter Biden’s residence and “agreed that probable cause had been achieved.”

However, the IRS agent reported that Wolf ultimately did not allow the physical search warrant because she was concerned about “the optics” of it.

Finally, one of the most serious allegations against Wolf is that she allegedly tipped off Hunter Biden’s legal team about attempts to conduct a search at his residence.
