Apple presented the new iPhone 15 as well as the Apple Watch 9 in its long-awaited Keynote that took place at 12 p.m. EST from Apple Park in Cupertino, Calif. There, as he did a few months ago, CEO Tim Cook welcomed the attendees to the event and presented the new editions of two of its most successful products to the thousands of people in the audience and following the event online:

The most anticipated product was the iPhone 15. Available in five colors, the company's new smartphone comes with the "Dynamic Island" (a home screen), the 48-megapixel main sensor as well as an OLED Super Retina display.

According to the company, the battery life has grown significantly, now lasting up to 24 hours. In addition, the company yielded to current regulations, meaning this will be the first device to include a USB-C charging port.

Among its improvements, the new iPhone 15 includes voice isolation and satellite emergency assistance. The iPhone 15 will arrive alongside the iPhone 15 Plus. Prices will be $799 (iPhone 15) and $899 (iPhone 15 Plus).

These two new products were not the only ones introduced. Apple also revealed the iPhone Pro that includes the new "Action Button," which replaces the mute button. The new feature can perform the following actions: take photos, mute the phone and manage voice memos. This device will be available for the price of $999 with a memory of 128 GB, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max version will be available for a price of $1199 with a memory of 256 GB. All of them will hit the market on Friday, Sept. 22.

The new Apple Watch

The presentation began with an emotional announcement in which the company recalled how its devices have helped people. After this, the Apple Watch series 9 was revealed. The smartwatch includes a graphics processing unit (GPU) 30% faster than its previous version, the series 8. That allows this device to have a battery that lasts up to 24 hours compared to the battery life of the previous device that reached 18 hours.

New features for the Apple Watch

The battery is not the only new feature included in the new Apple Watch. Its brightness has also been modified and now reaches maximums of 2,000 nits, while its minimum brightness is only 1 nit. Along with this, the new smartwatch also includes better sleep monitoring, the ability to detect traffic accidents and contact emergency services for help and new improved training metrics.

However, the most successful function will be the so-called "double tap," a new feature that makes it "faster, easier and more convenient to interact with your watch." This, explained Deidre Caldbeck during the presentation, allows you to stop what is playing, end a call or take a photo by just tapping two fingers.

The Apple Watch did not arrive alone, it was also accompanied by the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and the Apple Watch SE. All these models come with up to five different colors and will go on the market for a price of $249 (Apple Watch SE), $399 (Apple Watch series 9) and $799 (Apple Ultra 2). These new smartwatches can be pre-ordered starting Tuesday, Sept. 12 and will go on sale in the United States next Friday, Sept. 22.
