Another unforgettable night. Luka Doncic once again put on a masterclass in the Los Angeles Lakers over the Miami Heat (138-117) at Crypto.com Arena in California.

With this result, the purple-and-gold franchise moved into fourth place in the Western Conference standings, just behind the Portland Trail Blazers.

Doncic, the Lakers' star, managed to surpass the 40-point mark.

The Slovenian, likely the hottest player in the NBA so far this season, finished the game with 42 points, to which he added 13 assists, recording his third double-double in the seven games he has played so far.

In addition to Doncic's contribution, the Lakers secured their sixth win of the season thanks to a strong offensive performance by Austin Reaves (27 points) and the dominance of Walker Kessler (15 points and 15 rebounds) in the paint.

The Heat still can't seem to find their rhythm. Miami's new project has managed only two wins so far, raising questions about whether the franchise—which, given its roster, aspires to great things—is on the right track.

Their star, Giannis Antetokounmpo, finished the game against the Lakers with a double-double (24 points and 18 rebounds), though more is expected of him.

SGA's offensive masterclass

In another standout matchup, the Oklahoma City Thunder emerged victorious from Rocket Arena in Ohio after defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers (112–117).

The Thunder star, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, neutralized the home team's efforts with a brilliant offensive performance (43 points). The Canadian, who wants to bring OKC back to the top, played his best game yet.

End of the Grizzlies' winning streak

The last franchise that remained undefeated lost that status. The Memphis Grizzlies were routed by the New Orleans Pelicans (134–135) in a frantic game that went into overtime.

Ty Jerome, the Grizzlies' leader, was the game's top scorer (40 points), but his excellent performance was overshadowed by a strong team effort from the Pelicans. Leading the way were Zion Williamson (25 points and 11 rebounds) and Karlo Matkovic (25 points).
