Stephen Curry and the Warriors experienced a historic night Thursday in a 130-104 victory over the Sacramento Kings, with a highlight in the third quarter, when the Golden State star became the first player in NBA history to reach 4,000 career 3-pointers.

At 37, Curry leads the all-time list by a wide margin over James Harden, who has 3,127, while third place remains in the hands of the retired Ray Allen (2,973).

The 2024 Paris Olympic gold medalist connected on four of his nine attempts from the field, including the two 3-pointers that led to the historic mark.

Draymond Green was the leading scorer for the Warriors, who added their sixth straight win and still stand in sixth place in the Western Conference.

Doncic charges Lakers

In turn, the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 126-106 at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, where Giannis Antetokounmpo nearly had a triple-double with an outstanding performance of 24 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists.

Milwaukee, this season's NBA Cup champion, snapped a streak of three consecutive losses and moves into fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

The Bucks built a lead as large as 23 points in the game and dominated the paint by winning the rebounding battle, 57-46.

LeBron James was sidelined with a groin injury that will keep him out of the court for a week or two.

In James' absence, Luka Doncic led the Lakers' offense with 45 points and 11 rebounds, including 7 3-pointers.

The first quarter was a big indicator of what was to come for Doncic, scoring 16 of his team's 29 points and by the end of the first half he already had 5 3-pointers.

At 26 years old, Doncic set a new personal best for the 2024-25 season with the 7 3-pointers on this day.

Orlando continues to add

In other results, the Washington Wizards won 129-125 over the Detroit Pistons on a night in which seven players from the capital squad scored in double figures.

Alex Sarr was the leading scorer with 19 points, while Justin Champagnie led in rebounds with 9.

The Wizards, in last place in the Eastern Conference, earn their 14th win of the season and just their seventh on the road.

For Detroit, Cade Cunningham was the top scorer with 38 points and 10 assists.

Paolo Banchero completed a double-double of 34 points and 11 rebounds in the Orlando Magic's 113-93 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Magic have won eight straight road games against the Pelicans, with their last loss in New Orleans coming on Jan. 18, 2017.

The Chicago Bulls extended their consecutive winning streak to four with a 116-110 victory over the Brooklyn Nets.

With a record of 28 wins and 38 losses, the Bulls remain in contention for a Play-In spot in 10th place in the Eastern Conference.
