Sinner and Swiatek head to Australian Open quarter-finals
The ATP No. 1 needed four sets to overcome Holger Rune. The Polish player, WTA No. 2, will face the American player Emma Navarro in the next round.

The four big favorites in the men's draw to win the Australian Open are already in the quarterfinals. To Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz -who will face each other in the next round- and the number 2 of the ATP ranking, Alexander Zverev. was added the number 1, Jannik Sinner.
The Italian tennis player, reigning champion of the first Grand Slam of the season, managed to advance to the quarterfinals after beating the Norwegian Holger Rune in four sets (6-3, 3-6, 6-3 and 6-2). However, the match was not as comfortable as Sinner would have liked, due to the temperature and discomfort he was suffering from.
"I wasn't feeling very well. I think we saw today that I had physical problems. They were difficult conditions. It was hot yesterday and also hot today. I knew it was going to be very, very difficult. I fought against a very tough opponent, but also a little bit against myself," said the No. 1 after the match.
His next match will be against Australian Alex de Minaur, who defeated American Alex Michelsen in three sets (6-0, 7-6 and 6-3).
The other two tennis players who got the ticket to the quarterfinals on Monday were the Italian Lorenzo Sonego -who left in his path the American Learner Tien- and the American Ben Shelton -who took advantage of the withdrawal of the French Gael Monfils to continue aspiring to the title-.

Swiatek-Navarro: a match of carats in the quarterfinals
The Polish Iga Swiatek, number 2 in the WTA ranking, will play in the quarterfinals after sweeping past the German Eva Lys in two sets (6-0 and 6-1).
