Meanwhile, the Washington Commanders secured a dramatic playoff berth with a thrilling final drive against the Atlanta Falcons.
Barkley, 27 and in his first season in Philadelphia, becomes the ninth player to surpass 2,000 yards on the ground in a season. O.J. Simpson in 1973 was the first to do so, the most recent was Derrick Henry (Tennessee Titans) in 2020 while the record goes to Eric Dickerson (2,105) in 1984.
The Bronx, New York native will have the opportunity to break this record on the last day of the regular season, precisely against his former team, the New York Giants.
