(WITH INFORMATION FROM AFP) With a stellar performance by Josh Allen, the Buffalo Bills clinched the top spot of the AFC East division on Sunday, securing a commanding 35-10 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in a snowstorm.

Buffalo's victory was the highlight of the day in the NFL, which also saw a tight win by the Eagles against the Ravens and the withdrawal of Trevor Lawrence with a concussion in the Jaguars defeat to the Texans.

At a freezing Highmark Stadium, the Bills brought enormous joy to their fans by extending their dominance in the American East Conference for the fifth straight year.

Buffalo, the first team to clinch the divisional lead, has a record of 10 wins and two losses and is standing far ahead of the second-placed Miami Dolphins (5-7).

The Bills also dealt a hard blow to the 49ers, who are in serious danger of being out of the playoffs just one year after being Super Bowl runners-up.

The San Francisco team (5-7), last in the National Conference West, may have to look for a miracle without its star Christian McCaffrey, who left the game in the second quarter with a knee injury.

The running back, who already missed the first two months of competition, is suffering from a ligament injury that could keep him out for the rest of the season, said his coach, Kyle Shanahan.

On an icy gridiron, Josh Allen became the first quarterback in NFL history to score a passing, rushing and receiving touchdown in the same game.

The play of the night came in the third quarter when Allen threw a short pass to Amari Cooper, who returned the ball for the quarterback to run into the end zone and put a resounding 28-3 lead on the scoreboard.

"I threw a bad ball. I was worried about it going in the air and getting caught, so I chased it down," Allen recounted. "I made eye contact with Coop - he's a veteran. He saw me, I put my hands out, he threw it to me and I made a play."

The quarterback finished with 148 yards passing and another 18 rushing.

Barkley continues to be unstoppable

In another highlight matchup, the Philadelphia Eagles came away from their visit to the Baltimore Ravens 24-19 thanks to a key touchdown from their new star Saquon Barkley.

The running back, one of the best players of the season, got this touchdown with a 25-yard run that gave the Eagles an already decisive 21-12 lead midway through the final quarter.

Barkley totaled 107 yards on 23 carries while quarterback Justin Hurts had 118 yards passing and a touchdown.

On Baltimore's star duo side, quarterback Lamar Jackson totaled 237 passing yards and two touchdowns and running back Derrick Henry recorded 82 ground yards on 19 carries.

Trevor Lawrence concussion

In Jacksonville, young quarterback Trevor Lawrence had to retire with a concussion during his Jaguars' 23-20 loss to the Houston Texans.

The quarterback was finishing a six-yard run when he took a brutal blow to the head from Azeez Al-Shaair that led to the ejection of the Texans linebacker and the outbreak of a fight between players from both teams.

"It's a play nobody wants to see in our league," protested Jaguars coach Doug Pederson after the game, who reported that his player "is going to be fine."

Wilson shines for Pittsburgh

In other scenarios, veteran Russell Wilson signed a spectacular performance in the Pittsburgh Steelers' 44-38 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Wilson, once again entrenched as Pittsburgh's starter, threw for 414 yards and three touchdowns for the Steelers (9-4), who lead the American North.

Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers' New York Jets suffered their ninth loss of the season, their third in a row, losing 26-21 to the Seahawks.

Rodgers was held to 185 yards and two passing touchdowns while Geno Smith, a former Jets quarterback, signed for 206 tardies and a touchdown for Seattle.
