Leo Messi shone bright once again with his new team. The Argentinian star scored two goals in Inter Miami's 3-1 win over Orlando City. This brings his total to five goals in just three games played.

The first he scored against Orlando City came in the 7th minute. After a spectacular assist from teammate Robert Taylor, Messi controlled the ball with his chest and beat the Orlando City goalkeeper, who could do nothing to save the shot.

With 19 minutes left in the Floridian duel, striker Josef Martinez received a cross from the left flank and laid the ball off for Messi to score his second goal, certifying Inter Miami's victory and the team's passage to the round of 16 of the Leagues Cup.

Apart from Messi's performance, the game was notable for the debut of Jordi Alba. The Spanish defender made his debut with Inter Miami, reuniting with two friends and former teammates at FC Barcelona, Sergio Busquets and Leo Messi himself. Alba played the last 30 minutes.
