Messi debuts in style: scores goal to give Inter Miami the win

He could not have gotten off to a better start. Leo Messi made his debut with Inter Miami, and in it he scored the goal that gave his team the victory against Cruz Azul (2-1) in the final moments of the game of the first day of the Leagues Cup.
With only a minute left before the referee signaled the end of the match, the Argentine star took advantage of a free kick to send the ball into the corner of the goal defended by Andrés Gudiño, who could do absolutely nothing to save Messi's shot.
As if it were the first goal of his career, Messi celebrated in style with his teammates. It is the first great display of quality in the United States by the man who is, for many, the greatest soccer player of all time.
