Sean 'Diddy' Combs, accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in front of two celebrities
The controversial rapper is in pre-trial detention on charges of leading a sex trafficking and extortion ring. His trial is set for May 2025.
Sean Diddy Combs, who is on remand pending his trial on charges related to sex trafficking and extortion, has had a new accusation added to his record. This time, an anonymous woman said that the controversial rapper raped her when she was 13 years old, in the presence of two celebrities whose names were not revealed.
The incident allegedly occurred in 2000, during an after-party at the MTV Video Music Awards gala. As a minor, this woman approached the venue with the intention of gaining access. She began talking to the chauffeurs standing at the entrance when one of them told her that he worked for Diddy.
"One of the limousine drivers she spoke to claimed to work for Diddy. He told her that Combs liked younger girls and said she ‘fit what Diddy was looking for,’ not allowing her into the Awards, but inviting her to an afterparty," the plaintiff's defense wrote in the complaint, adding that the alleged victim had to sign a confidentiality agreement in order to attend that party.
Once inside, the woman had to lie down on a bed because she was "woozy and lightheaded" after having a drink, without specifying whether it was alcoholic. It was then when Diddy, accompanied by two other celebrities, entered and raped her. As soon as the event occurred, the alleged victim fled the room "naked," subsequently calling her father to come and get her.
'Diddy' denies the facts
As soon as this new accusation was made public, the rapper's defense transmitted statements to Fox News with which he assured that these facts did not occur and declared his innocence.
"As Mr. Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus. That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors. He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation," said Erica Wolff, an attorney for Diddy.
The rapper remains in pre-trial detention, despite his defense's attempts to post bail for his release, pending his trial in May 2025 for sex trafficking, extortion and being the alleged leader of a criminal scheme.
