The sneakers introduced by former President Donald Trump at Sneaker Con, the world's largest sneaker show, in Philadelphia sold out just two hours after their release.

According to the website where the shoes are sold, only 1,000 pairs were available, and 10 of them were autographed by Trump. Similarly, a video was published on social media of a man who paid $9,000 to buy a pair of the autographed shoes.

According to The New York Post, this man was Roman Sharf, founder and CEO of the luxury watch distributor Luxury Bazaar.

The shoes, called The Never Surrender High-Top Sneaker, sold for $399 a pair. They were for sale on an official website as well as other items such as a perfume also bearing the name of the former president.

"I have some incredible people that work with me on things, and they came up with this, and this is something I've been talking about for 12 years, 13 years, and I think it's gonna be a big success," Trump said when unveiling the shoes, as reported by Axios.
