Comedian Dana Carvey's son, Dex Carvey, died this Wednesday at the age of 32. It was the comedian himself, known for his participation in the television program "Saturday Night Live," who informed his followers of the sad news.

He did so through a statement on Instagram, which he later uploaded to X (formerly known as Twitter), in which he revealed that his son died due to an accidental drug overdose:

The TMZ website reported on what happened. In the report it details how, Dex's girlfriend made a call to emergency services around 10 pm (Pacific time). When they arrived, they found Dex's body locked in a bathroom. Despite their attempts, they were unable to revive Dana Carvey's son, who was pronounced dead just hours later.
