Elon Musk announces that he will visit the Eagle Pass border in Texas
The businessman posted on his X account that he spoke with Rep. Tony Gonzales and has decided to visit the Texas town later this week.
Elon Musk will see first-hand the immigration problem that the town of Eagle Pass, in Texas, is experiencing. The businessman announced on his X account (formerly Twitter) that he had spoken with Republican Representative Tony Gonzales and that, after their conversation, he decided to visit the Texas town later this week:
Musk announced his upcoming visit by responding to independent journalist KanekoaTheGreat's post, which shows a video of migrants getting on trains in Eagle Pass. Fox News reported that the situation is getting worse with each passing day.
The number of migrants crossing the border increased significantly in July and August, with more than 230,000 encounters at the border. In August there was a record number of immigrants who tried to enter the country.
Musk recently posted to X warning about the situation. Last week, he posted that he was surprised that the media did not report on the enormous immigration crisis that the nation is experiencing:
Musk is not only aware of the crisis in Texas, but he also criticized how things are going in New York, another one of the cities that is also struggling to keep up with the immigration crisis.
