Target includes baby clothes in its new LGBTQ Pride collection

The "Pride collection" incorporates women's swimsuits that have "extra crotch room" and help hide male private parts.

Some brands are adapting their products as Pride month, celebrated in June, fast approaches. However, some retailers are provoking reactions they didn't expect. After the barrage of criticism against Adidas for its controversial collection to celebrate the month, the spotlight has now turned to Target.

The retailer's new line to celebrate the occasion includes women's swimsuits "with extra crotch coverage" that allows male private parts to be hidden. The organization Gays Against Groomers criticized the company, pointing out that the swimsuit model is available for children.

Commentator Matt Walsh noted on his show that the swimsuits are available in children's sizes, with the excuse that they are for "very, very, very small adults." In addition, he called for a boycott of Target, as was done with Bud Light after it launched a marketing campaign featuring a transgender content creator.

Critiques like this made "Target" one of the top trending topics on Twitter this Sunday. "No woman needs to tuck anything," tweeted journalist Megyn Kelly, and continued, "Oh and we don't need our kids seeing this sh** when we walk down the aisle at Target."

Target was also criticized for including pro-trans and gender-neutral slogans on children's and baby apparel. "Trans people will always exist!" and "Bien[very] Proud!" are some of the slogans in this collection. One T-shirt even features an illustration of a group of women, including a figure that appears to be a trans person, surrounded by various pronouns.
