Donald Trump Jr. asked fans to stop boycotting Bud Light for its association with transgender content creator Dylan Mulvaney. The president's son assured that the brewing company supports the Republicans.

Amid the controversy unleashed by the recent marketing campaign of the popular beer brand, Donald Trump Jr. took a position defending the conglomerate and even asking to stop the boycott against the company.

The former president's son explained in his podcast, Triggered, that he was against destroying an "iconic" American company. Trump Jr. stressed that while he believes Anheuser-Busch did make a big mistake in hiring Dylan Mulvaney to promote its product, executives have learned their lesson.

The businessman also took the opportunity to point out that they analyzed the history of political donations made by the brewing company and that Anheuser-Busch actually supports the Republicans.

" I'm not gonna blame the whole company for the inaction or the stupidity of someone in a marketing campaign that got woke as hell," he said, adding that the company does not engage "in the same leftist nonsense" as other conglomerates. However, he wanted to emphasize that, although he considered this campaign a mistake, if they were to make a similar decision again then he would blame them and let the public punish them.

Anheuser-Busch apologized

After two weeks of heavy losses for the company, that the intention was never to spark an argument that would divide the public.

"We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer," he said.

Millions of dollars in losses

Since Bud Light launched its campaign with the transgender influencer in early April, the company lost more than five billion dollars of its market value, equating to a drop of around 4%.
