At least three dead, five wounded in shooting at Michigan State University

Three people were killed and five others were injured overnight Monday in shootings at two locations on the Michigan State University campus in East Lansing,Mich., as confirmed by the police.

The shooting occurred after 8:00 p.m. inside Berkey Hall, home of the College of Social Science, where two people were killed. Another shooting was reported shortly after 9:00 p.m. next door at the MSU student union. One person was killed there, said MSU Deputy Police Chief Chris Rozman. The victims were transported to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. The five injured are in critical condition, and some have life-threatening injuries.
Michigan Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer confirmed the incident on social media.
Officials reported that all campus activities will be canceled for 48 hours, including athletics, classes and other campus-related activities. "Please do not come to campus tomorrow," the police told students in a message shared on its official Twitter account.
All of the victims were Michigan State University students
MSU Deputy Police Chief Chris Rozman provided an update Tuesday that all of the victims of the mass shooting at the university Monday night were students.
He also identified the gunman Tuesday as Anthony McRae, 43.
