White House is unwavering after Republican debacle in midterms: 'Trump is still your President'
The Trump administration issued its first official statement after losing control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Hours after the Republican Party's resounding defeat in the midterm elections was confirmed, the Trump administration decided to issue a blunt response to warnings from the Democratic Party that it would go head-to-head with the president and his policies.
"PSA: Trump is still your president," wrote the White House via its X account. "Thank you for your attention to this matter."
The post also features a photograph of Trump in the Oval Office, with a defiant expression, standing with his arms outstretched and resting on his desk.
The midterm elections have dealt a severe blow to the Republican Party, which has seen it has lost control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate—the two pillars of the legislative branch—and could lead to numerous vetoes of bills proposed by the president and by Republicans.
Not only that, but the party has also seen key strongholds slip from its grasp, such as, for example, Texas. Internal disputes between the more traditional members and Trump supporters have led to the Republican Party to lose the governorship of The Lone Star State, a position that will now be held by Democrat Gina Hinojosa.
After regaining control of Congress, the Democratic Party has already issued warnings to Trump. Some of its winning candidates, such as Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota (who managed to hold onto her seat in the midterm elections), have taken aim at the president and his policies in their first remarks after defeating their Republican opponents.
