SINCE KAMALA HARRIS' LAST PRESS CONFERENCE

Biden Confuses Salvation Army with Secret Service

"I spent some time with the Secret Service in Poland and Ukraine," the president said, addressing uniformed members of the Salvation Army.

It took less than 10 days of the year 2023 for President Joe Biden to become the talk of the nation for his successive lapses. This time, the president was in El Paso, Texas, visiting the southern border between the United States and Mexico, when at an immigration center he confused uniformed Salvation Army soldiers for Secret Service officers.

As the president entered the center, a woman said, "And here we have the Salvation Army people." Biden approached one of the men standing there, shook his hand, and said, "I spent some time with the Secret Service in Poland and Ukraine."

The president's countless clueless lapses in 2022

This is not the first time Biden has slurred his words when speaking. He has repeatedly referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as "President Harris." Another one of his more controversial mix-ups was the so-called "phantom hand." No one knows who Biden thought he was greeting. He always does the same thing. He reaches his hand out for a few seconds, looks around, and then moves on.

On another occasion, during a speech on Capitol Hill to show his support for the Ukrainians in the midst of the Russian invasion, Biden blurted out the illogical phrase "Putin may surround Kiev with tanks, but he will never win the hearts and minds of the Iranian people."

"Jackie, are you here, where's Jackie? I thought she was going to be here" were words uttered by the president in the middle of a speech while searching the audience for a Republican congresswoman who died in early August.

The president also appeared to suggest that he had cancer, forcing the White House to make a quick clarification denying the disease.

These are just a few cases that demonstrate the president's constant disorientation, which is in the media almost weekly. He has also confused names and has fallen asleep at events of global importance.
